Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA), we are delighted to invite you to the European Biotechnology Congress 2025, a premier event that brings together the multifaceted impacts and future potential of biotechnology. This prestigious congress will be held in Tirana, Albania, from 11-13 September 2025, organized by EBTNA, the Academy of Sciences of Albania, and the University of Tirana.
This year’s congress provides a unique platform for scientists, academics, and industry leaders from diverse disciplines to redefine the boundaries of biotechnology and forge new collaborations. Satellite events of different formats (Workshops hands-on, Training Schools, Round-Tables) supported by COST EU, International projects, and MAGI Balkans will enrich the congress program either proceeding or during it.

Key themes will include:
  • Molecular Biotechnology
  • Innovations in Genetics and Genomics
  • Green Biotechnology
  • Medical Biotechnology and Novel Therapeutic Approaches
  • Advances in Industrial Biotechnology
  • Bioprocess Engineering
  • Nano-Biotechnology, and Biosensors
  • Environmental Biotechnology
  • Aquaculture & Marine Biotechnology
  • Advances in Animal Biotechnology

At the heart of the Balkans and a crossroad of civilisations, Tirana is a testament to the coexistence of cultures, religions, and historical influences across the Mediterranean. Being among the first-ever Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue in 2025 (https://ufmsecretariat.org/alexandria-tirana-2025-mediterranean-capitals-of-culture-and-dialogue/) Tirana's welcoming atmosphere, offers an unforgettable experience in addition to inspiring scientific sessions of the congress.

We believe that your participation will significantly enhance the success of this event and foster knowledge sharing in the field of biotechnology. Meanwhile, researchers and students will be offered an excellent possibility to present and share their expertise, and publish their abstracts and proceedings papers in a Special Edition of The EuroBiotech Journal (https://sciendo.com/journal/EBTJ), while profiting from reduced Registration fees for students (200 Euros), WBC members (300 Euros), and EU members (400 Euros).
Information on the registration is soon to be advertised in a dedicated website. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@ebtna.eu.

The President of EBTNA
